  • ABOUT ME

I was born in Medellín, Colombia, but I have always felt like a citizen of the world.

Cooking has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are of watching my nana, Lourdes, cook for our family with care and generosity. Long before I understood technique, I understood that food could make people feel cared for.

My fascination with hospitality truly began at sixteen, when my father became Colombia’s ambassador to New Zealand. Our home often hosted diplomatic dinners, and I became fascinated by everything behind the experience — the cooking, service, etiquette, planning, and the details that made guests feel welcome.

A few years later, I found myself studying Law. Law? Exactly. I quickly realized my path was somewhere else, moved to the United States, and studied Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales University.

More than twenty-five years later, that decision has taken me through restaurants, luxury hotels, private homes, culinary businesses and kitchens across different countries and cultures.

My professional life has taken many forms — cook, chef, leader, entrepreneur — but my most meaningful roles are at home, as a husband and a father.

This site is a small window into that journey — the places I have worked, the food I love to cook, and the experiences that continue to shape the way I think about food and hospitality.

    Salud y buen provecho!
